the other problem for era is the incompability with new scripts people already use (those in 3.58f+SU), I also wonder why they don't support many erm359 commands (as incompability with yours script - perhaps alfa hasn't them - if so why they not build over newer exe?)
I agree that it is great because it can have multiple patches etc. if they overcome some reggressions the future of wog will be with them

ok guys, next week weeks are gonna be quite busy for me travelling around europe, but then I'll send you the files and instruction what to do with them. I also had a discussion with Salamandre about the future of this project, which we agreed is in Wog 3.58 and ERA. You can do amazing things in ERA, working directly with the exe. The only thing is compatibility with the current set of scripts, which is pretty bad and most of those will have to be rewritten in some way and I must say that this scares me off from starting it.

if you send something to Adrian - please send it to me. there's perhaps newer scripts for WOG with 3.59 alfa/beta, isn't it?.
if it should work with 3.58f+SU please consider compability with wogmod (unofficial patch to SU, it also contain new scripts), or at least with patch part of it (I use only patched part of it since the new scripts doubles some abilities from AL) - all I'm aware about wogmod is that in use one variable more in some function - I hope it won't spoil the work of AL

@sagamosa - PLEASE 1000 times, send me files needed to be able to play this mod. I'm trying hard (homm shadow of death + wog 3.58 + sagamosa exe but still receive error). Can you please tell me in a private message what I need. I've been a huge fan of H3 for more than 10 years and have been expecting for 3.59 for at least 4 years, I need something new cause both H4 and H5 failed in my opinion. WOG is the best and your mod looks amazing but I want to play it. Can you please send me some link on my private email. Thank you

i have to report two bugs on AL
bone fusion makes hero drop to lvl1 0exp when activated
irresistible magic don't hide the orb of vulnerability, and it may be cloned, also takes ammo cart slot, making it impossible to have ammo cart on battlefield and simultanously keep power of irresistible magic (suggestion: make the artifact unmovable and let it summon ammo cart when wearing)

there is a bug in your mod. It says it happens to heroes at levels 5,10,15,20.
this is true only for heroes starting at level 1. currently it works for 4,9,14,19 levelups, so ie. hero starting at level 5 would advance at 9,14,19,24.
note: when you try with rule "starting heroes has 5 lv" it works properly for main heroes (because they really lvl-ups) but wrong for rest (since they virtually starts at 5 lvl)... bug perhaps can be seen when mapmaker place non-lvl-1-hero, or from adventure map taverns from random map

your mod is very nice
i've seen the exe is released somewhere (but you need rename scripts manually)
i was suprised when my wog options look broken, but adding trailing zeros help
it (the exe) also conflicts somewhat with 358f scripts (some code is treated as popup)
it doesn't however conflict with script update aside from it shares option number with "heroes start with 5 level", and it's one source of not showing up in wog menu.
after SU and enabling option 118 i've seen it works but testing were really short
it's sad it still won't work with era as version 1.8, when renaming script 118 to script98 on era it showed up but choked on some macro, perhaps there will be newversion of era capable of the script

PS: i had to dig deeply to find your exe, it's called "WOG executable for sagamosa script" to not confuse with proper 3.59, but it made harder to find

agree those two functions have some potential and are very practical, you could script a lot of different things with them (custom morale system, defense before attack, double defense etc., which i had in mind but are close to impossible under current exe. as for cleric, i'm aware of the error, should be quite easily overcome when I get to it. as i see it now, ERA and 3.59 the version I have are not and won't be fully compatible unless someone puts significant effort to that and i doubt Bers will do that, from his point of view it has no added value. I'lack the skills to do that, but i think that it shouldn't be a problem to distribute my exe with the final version of Advanced levels. I also went into contact with Corwin again who's in charge of the corewog team still slowly developing the official 3.59, so we'll see what happens. my idea is still slowly continue on improving the current (playable) version of AL and potentially make some interface adjustments to include it in the official 3.59, when if ever this will be actual...

i think the best way for you would be to play through all the possibilities of AL, then I'd like to hear your comments and ideas, and together we could work on some further improvements, certainly your graphic skills could help a lot.

In case you don't have ERA, here are the FU77006 and FU77007. They allow to control each creature's turn much better than regular commands.
77006 - Battle: Who Moves?

Decision on what stack will move now.
Parameters (2): Side (0 - left, 1 - right) / Stack number (0..41)
Example:
!?FU77006;
!!SN:X0/0; only 1-st stack of left player will gain move in the battle

77007 - Battle: Before Action
Phase before transferring control to player/AI. Trolls regenerate, for example, in this phase.
Parameters (3): Stack number / Pointer to TBattleMonster / Block regeneration? (1 - yes, 0 - no)
Example:
!?FU77007;
!!SN:X?y1/?y2/1; block regeneration, y1 - stack number
!!BMy1:M41/99/0; cast bless upon stack instead of regeneration ability
Now all stacks will be blessed and won't regenerate.

I am almost sure you know them already, but just in case.

I have the saves from the cleric before this problem. I think it has nothing to have with "wait" flags but somehow those flags get messed in the script. In my save, the player has archangels only and neutrals are wiverns, so there is no way the wiverns could choose "wait", but the error is still there. This can be fixed with within FU77006, a special ERA function, I think. But then it has to be compatible with ERA.

You should talk to Berserker, he is the only one which is active and knows what's going with all those exes.

well, that's good to hear you enjoyed it and works fine. but I'm surprised to hear that the cleric worked for you, I thought there's still some error with impatience skill, which doesn't work well with computer battles (when AI stacks tries to wait and is canceled and tries forever, which effectivelly ruins the game)

as for ERA compatibility I have my doubts, I just checked and certain commands dosn't work at all under ERA, DL works, negative local functions don't (this could be solved, but wouls take some time), but most of all stack variables (BG:V, BG:C) are not available, which is crucial for some advanced skills (quite a lot, almost all battle related). It could certainly be done in ERA by some DLL, but it's beyond my abilities. I also tested on some other exe (3.59 build 1.5 from greyface), which allows for some further changes (new triggers and receivers), and there it seems to be ok and compatible.

Sagamosa, HC is down today therefore I can't check for your email. I played all the week end the AL, and had only 4-5 crash in about 8 hours, which is not noticeable. Using the autosave after the crash worked perfectly, and crash did not occur. Everything is smooth and looking great. I played until now knight and cleric and compared results. There are some details about balance which could be discussed longer, but I think it is not the point, every race 'until now from what I've tested) has strong bonuses so not a problem. A few DL hints errors, I saved them and will send.

I think that you should release it, the only problem is the exe, but I guess Berserker could adapt his one (ERA) to fit the AL without much harm. We are missing great mods, and this is the only one so far which deserve my respect. I will continue races tests this week, I enjoy it a lot.
